A Few Friendly Guidelines for a Safe & Joyful Visit
We’re so excited to welcome you to the orchard!
To keep the experience safe, fun, and fair for everyone, we ask that all guests follow a few simple rules during your visit:
Orchard Etiquette & Safety
• Please only pick what your reservation allows unless you’ve added extras at check-in.
• Pick only what you plan to purchase.
• Only harvest from areas marked ready for Pick-Your-Own.
• Use the bags we provide – no outside baskets, bags, or coolers.
• Help us keep the farm clean: please carry trash out of the orchard.
Orchard Rules
• Pets are not permitted.
• Service animals under ADA are permitted.
• Emotional support animals are not allowed per ADA guidelines.
• No climbing trees, shaking branches, or throwing fruit.
• No tailgating, picnicking, or outside food/coolers.
• No alcohol permitted in the orchard.
• No climbing fences or entering restricted areas.
• No unauthorized drones or aerial photography.
• Follow traffic flow signs throughout the orchard.
• One-way routes help keep things moving smoothly and safely.
• We reserve the right to search bags, strollers, containers, and vehicles upon exit to ensure fairness for all.

Located on more than 50 acres of farmland, The Cidery Orchard at Pennings Farm in Orange County, New York offers more than 20 varieties of apples available for picking. Apple picking season for the Cidery Orchard is late September, October, and into mid-November. Exact dates vary year to year depending on the growing season weather.
