Fantastic! Beautiful and beautifully run family operation. We went for a ‘do what you love’ seminar. A stop in the farm market for wonderful, reasonably priced local items was first. Next we went up to the Cidery for dinner and a great talk from Garden State Koi. We will be back, for other events and a quick bite. The staff is so friendly and gave great service! The owners were also so nice! GO!

Although we’ve been to Pennings, many times, for ice-cream, we just tried their cafe, and it was very good. They seem to offer relatively healthy, wholesome, delicious foods. I thoroughly enjoyed my salmon “burger” with lettuce, tomato, sundried tomato tapenade, on a brioch roll. My son really liked the New England Clam Chowder he ordered, and his Ceasar Salad, although a tad peppery, was pretty good. I really liked the fact that they had water with lemon, for the taking. They also had a basil lemonade which looked good (but I didn’t try).
Pennings is expanding all the time. In addition to the nursery and produce, plus market, Beer Garden, and Bar, and pick-your-own apples, they now have a Cidery. The parking is organized by a few attendants, who point the way. We will be back!

Love this place! Stopped by for the first time Friday and couldn’t be more pleased. Picked up honey, jam, chipotle bacon, maple syrup, cheese and apple cider donuts everything was fantastic and the atmosphere and staff are great!

It’s funny, my father used to take me and my little sister to Pennings when we were children, primarily to see their goats and other animals, and to get a scoop of ice cream.  It was always a low-key place without much traffic, but it was special for us, generally coupled with a trip to Och’s Orchard.

In the last 10+ years, Penning’s Market has become immensely popular.  Go there now and expect to be greeted by a parking attendant!  They have added a beer garden, a market with various produce, live music, etc.  Now, whenever I make a trip with my wife, we are stunned with the sheer number of people present.  This is not to say it is a bad thing!  I am very happy that Pennings is booming.  Their wooden furniture that they sell outside is gorgeous (swing sets, rocking chairs, picnic tables, etc.).  They also happen to sell a lot of plants, flowers, seeds, and carry a good amount of organic options, including organic top soil.

What a great place . A farm with the coolest bar and picnic tables . Inside you order food which was amazing we had Avocado toast and skirt steak sticks ! Amazing ! Live music inside as well as seating . But take the food to the bar and chill w the really helpful and personal bartenders. Great ciders !!! And tasteful beers … was just really …. cool.

I went yesterday for the first time after a trip to the lake and there was a music festival. The crowd and the music was good and the food was amazing! Quick service and good price. Love the you can eat outside ambiance and that there a little playground for kids. Excellent place. Can’t wait to go back.

Had an amazing time tonight at Pennings. AMAZING FOOD, SERVICE, AND ATMOSPHERE! I highly recommend this place. The cider and wine selection is one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff is amazing and accommodating. This is going to be one of my regular spots for date night. The live music is excellent as well. It was just an awesome time. Sat at the bar and was comfortable and just relaxing. It is a great place. You will NOT be disappointed.

The lower farm is good, but if your into cider or want to give cider a try, take the short walk up the hill to the cidery (you can drive up also). There are 12 different ciders to try. The tasting sample size is a 5 ounce glass. That’s 60 ounces if you try all 12. My wife & I tried them all! Hiccup! They also make great wood fired oven pizza. We had the Gouda, Apple, prosciutto & arugula pie, yummy! Highly recommend!

One of my family’s favorite places, especially when we have our niece with us! The food is always wonderful, the staff always friendly & professional, the animals always excited to eat out of your hand… it’s beautiful here!

I’ve been to Pennings many times with my grandkids. They love the animals and the train they can climb on. My husband and I have eaten here and purchased many landscape items. It is a nursery too!
In winter, they continue offering farm market items from local farmers and vendors.
