In addition to the year-round area, Pennings Farm holds its position as the only true outdoor Beer Garden venue in Orange County, NY. The opening of the Beer Garden at Pennings in the spring is one of the first signs that it’s time to shift to imbibing craft beverages in the great outdoors.
The Beer Garden, set below the picturesque apple orchards, boasts an open-air bar and dining area. To maintain the original premise of Pennings Farm’s agricultural mission, the lawn and bar spaces are surrounded by custom planted gardens that add to the much-loved vibe of socializing outdoors and drinking in the farm fresh air during the warm spring, summer and early fall seasons.
The Beer Garden features live music on select weekend days performed on the custom built covered stage area. The outside space lends itself to unique-to-Pennings Farm’s annual events including The Fillmore East Concert, the Cornhole Tournament and the Summer Music Series.
Family Friendly and Farm-to-Table Food
The outdoor Beer Garden provides a family friendly environment where guests can dine alfresco, imbibe on craft beer, hard cider and wine, feed our barnyard buddies or feed themselves the season’s sweetest ice cream treats. Farm-to-table food can be ordered from the indoor grill located within the farm market to be eaten picnic style in the Beer Garden or from the newly established outdoor Beer Garden Grill’s select menu. Coming soon to the outdoor space, Pennings Farm will host a weekend Raw Bar to add to the hearty selection of menu items.

Warm Up During the Winter Months at Our Indoor Beer Garden
For those folks who want to capture the distinct ambiance that they feel in the Outdoor Beer Garden, while weathering the long cold winter, the months of December through March allow for an Indoor Beer Garden to rise out of the closed-for- the-season greenhouse space at Pennings Farm. Also a family friendly environment, the Indoor Beer Garden offers dining space and a library of board games, a ping pong table and a giant Jenga game for visitors to pass the time.
